The Unforgettable Arrival of an Eagle

Updated on Dec 31, 2025 · 2 min read

On Saturday, the 29th of November 2025, the atmosphere in Enugu State transformed into something truly magical. Joy overflowed through the streets, hearts beat with anticipation, and a rare unity radiated across communities. The reason was simple yet profound: the unforgettable eagle had returned home.

For two long months, our beloved founder, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, had travelled out for medical check-ups and much-needed rest. His absence was deeply felt—not only within our NGO family, but across the entire state. Father Mbaka is more than a spiritual leader; he is a symbol of courage, compassion, and unwavering hope. And so, his return was not just welcomed—it was celebrated.

A Homecoming Like No Other

From the early hours of the morning, the Akanu Ibiam International Airport buzzed with life. People gathered in large numbers, singing, praying, and waving banners that carried messages of love and gratitude. It wasn’t just a crowd; it was a sea of joyful faces, all united by one purpose.

When Fr. Mbaka finally stepped into view, the atmosphere shifted. Cheers erupted. Drums rolled. Songs of thanksgiving filled the air. It was as though Enugu itself exhaled in relief and joy. His smile—calm, warm, and reassuring—reminded everyone of the strength he carries and the grace with which he leads.

A State United in Joy

The celebration did not end at the airport. The entire Enugu State echoed with excitement. Social centers, churches, homes, and streets were alive with stories of his return. Many described the moment as a blessing, a rekindling of hope, and a sign of divine favor.

For our NGO, his arrival marked the return of vision, direction, and passion. For countless individuals, it was a renewal of faith.

Why This Arrival Was Truly Unforgettable

  • Because it symbolized restoration — a beloved leader returned in good health.
  • Because it reminded us of unity — thousands came together as one family.
  • Because it carried hope — a reminder that even eagles, though they soar far, always return to their nest.

A New Chapter Begins

As Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka settles back into his mission of service, compassion, and empowerment, we welcome this new chapter with open hearts. His return is not the end of a journey but the beginning of something even greater.

Indeed, the eagle has returned—strong, renewed, and unforgettable.
