Families across communities like Umualor face the same question: where will the next meal come from? Displacement, hardship, and rising costs leave too many without enough basic necessities.

When families are forced to rebuild after being displaced from their homes, securing immediate sustenance becomes an urgent priority. This week, through our Food Security and Nutrition program, Multi Lifesavers delivered 100 bags of 10 kg rice to St. Anthony's Parish, Umualor.

A Gesture of Relief and Restoration

Speaking on behalf of the recipient community, Rev. Fr. Francis Okigbo of St. Anthony's Parish expressed deep appreciation for the effort:

"My gratitude first goes to Father Ejike Mbaka and the Multi Lifesavers for the rice you saw... It is being given to be distributed to my parishioners who were displaced from their home in Umualor. Out of his charity and magnanimity, he decided to do this work of charity for my parishioners who returned back to their home last week. My vote of thanks first goes to God, who has been using Father Ejike Mbaka and Multi Lifesavers to touch lives, to elevate people from their bad condition to a better condition."

This initiative provided food, love, and encouragement for people rebuilding their lives step by step.

The Need for Sustained Support

While these 100 bags of rice bring vital relief today, this can't stop with one delivery. Food insecurity is a crisis that needs sustained attention, not a one-time response. Long-term recovery requires ongoing outreach and solidarity as families work to stabilize their households.
